CONTENT SLOTS

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective date: 14 September 2026

This policy forms part of the Content Slots Terms of Service and applies to every booking made through the Platform operated by Content Slots.

1. How cancellation terms work

1.1Each Provider chooses one of the three cancellation tiers below for their listing. The tier that applies is shown on the listing and at checkout before the Client pays.

1.2Time periods are measured from the scheduled start time of the booking, in South African Standard Time.

1.3The Content Slots service fee is refundable only where the Provider cancels or where the Client cancels within the full refund window of the tier.

2. Cancellation tiers

3. Cancellation by the Provider

3.1If a Provider cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, the Client receives a full refund including the Content Slots service fee.

3.2Providers who cancel confirmed bookings repeatedly may have their listing suspended.

3.3Where a Provider is unable to deliver because of an event outside their control (see section 6), section 6 applies instead of section 3.2.

4. Rescheduling

4.1A Client may request a new date or time through the Platform. If the Provider accepts, the booking is moved at no charge and the original cancellation tier continues to apply to the new date.

4.2If the Provider cannot accommodate the new date, the Client may keep the original booking or cancel it under the applicable tier.

5. No shows and late arrival

5.1A Client who does not arrive or make contact within 60 minutes of the start time is treated as having cancelled within 24 hours and receives no refund.

5.2A Provider who does not arrive or make the space, equipment or props available within 60 minutes of the start time is treated as having cancelled, and section 3 applies.

5.3Late arrival by the Client does not extend the booked time unless the Provider agrees and any overtime is paid.

6. Events outside anyone's control

6.1If a booking cannot go ahead because of load shedding beyond published schedules, severe weather, civil unrest, government order, serious illness or a similar event that neither party could reasonably have foreseen or prevented, either party may cancel and the Client receives a full refund of the Provider's fee. Content Slots may retain its service fee.

6.2Parties are encouraged to reschedule rather than cancel in these circumstances.

7. Refunds for services not delivered as described

7.1If a Provider delivers a service that is materially different from the listing, or fails to deliver part of it, the Client must notify Content Slots at hello@contentslots.com within 7 days of the booking date with supporting evidence such as photographs or messages.

7.2Content Slots will review the evidence and may hold the Provider's payout and issue a full or partial refund where the evidence clearly supports the complaint. Both parties will be given a chance to respond.

7.3Dissatisfaction with creative style, taste or editing choices that were reasonably shown in the Provider's portfolio is not grounds for a refund.

8. Deposits for damage

8.1Where a Provider requires a damage deposit for a space, equipment or props, the amount is shown on the listing. The deposit is refunded in full within 5 business days of the booking ending unless the Provider reports damage with evidence within 48 hours.

8.2Disputed damage claims are handled in the same way as section 7.

9. How refunds are paid

9.1Refunds are made to the original payment method through PayFast. Allow 5 to 10 business days for the funds to reflect, depending on your bank.

9.2Content Slots does not pay refunds in cash or to a different account.

10. Your statutory rights

10.1Nothing in this policy limits a Client's rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including the right to cancel an advance booking on reasonable notice subject to a reasonable cancellation charge.
